Well a few things to update you all on:
1) My roommate has moved out of my place as of about 3 weeks ago. We had our differences and they finally surfaced themselves enough that we decided living together wasn't the best idea we had ever had. I have learned that no matter how good of friends you are with someone, it doesn't mean you can live together and get along. Some personalities are not meant to go together, as we found out unfortunately. (Maybe I should remember that when thinking about getting married and moving in with someone?!?!) I have thoroughly enjoyed having my house back to myself. I get to do whatever I want, whenever I want, have as many people over and not have to worry about disrupting someone else's schedule. I could get used to this and never get another roommate.........
2) I HAVE A JOB! I am working at a freight forwarding/trucking company. I work in the transborder and international imports department. All those fancy words just mean that I work with shipments coming into Canada (we deal with large freight, like airplane motors, computer shipments, etc.) from the US or internationally from overseas. I deal with Canada Customs on getting all the freight through the border and clearing customs. I then send everything out with our drivers. I deal a lot with Customer Service as well in helping our key clients get the shipments they need when they need them. This may sound lame or even boring to some of you, but I love it. It is something completely opposite what I thought I wanted to do and I am loving every minute of it. It is fast-paced and keeps me running on all 8 cylinders all day long. I really am enjoying myself and am looking forward to continuing my experience in the logistics field of employment.
3) I got leather furniture in my living room!!! YEAH. Now don't get too excited. It is not brand new but is is close enough for me. My Grandma recently moved here from England to live with my parents and brought with her some of her furniture she owned over there. So.....my parents were running out of room to put all the furniture they already had filling up their house. So because they knew there little princess of a daughter was sitting here with her 'pink', scratched up couch and chair (thanks to my lovely Roxy) that I bought for $50 used from Manulife when we moved back in 2004, I was the 1st receiver of goods they didn't any longer have room for. I acquired myself a beautiful 3-seater leather couch and 2 reclining leather chairs :) I couldn't have been more excited the day my 'pink' furniture left and my new stuff came in. Thanks Mommy and Daddy.
4) As of tomorrow, my little Saturn sports car is going to have an alarm system AND a remote starter. This is all so exciting for me and I can't wait!!
That's about everything I can catch you all up on right now so I will be speaking to you all again soon (hopefully).
